HelpDol — Privacy Policy

HelpDol is a financial management app for drivers, self-employed workers, and small businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can control it. It covers the HelpDol app, the ChatGPT integration (ChatGPT App), and the bank connection, and card payments.

1. Who is responsible

HelpDol is the controller of your data. For any privacy matter, or to export or delete your data, contact us at helpdolsuport@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

Category	What it is
Account	Your email and account authentication data.
Subscription	Your plan and subscription status (basic, pro, premium).
Financial records	Income, expenses, payments to collaborators, scheduled transactions, goals, and categories you create in the app or through ChatGPT.
Receipt images	Photos of receipts/invoices you upload for automatic reading (OCR).
Voice commands	Audio you record to add entries by voice, converted to text.
Bank transactions	When you connect your bank, we import only your transaction history (amount, date, description, and merchant). We never see or store your bank password or credentials — the bank login is handled by Stripe. The connection is read-only: HelpDol can read your transaction history but can never move, withdraw, or send money from your bank account.
Card payments (only if you enable them)	If you use HelpDol to accept card payments, we store the amount, currency, date, the description and customer name you type, the card brand and the last 4 digits, and the payment identifier returned by Stripe. We never receive, see, or store full card numbers, expiry dates, or security codes — the card is read by Stripe and goes straight to Stripe.
Payout account (only if you enable card payments)	To receive money, you complete a registration hosted by Stripe (legal name, date of birth, address, tax identification, and the bank account where you want to be paid). You provide that information directly to Stripe. HelpDol only stores the resulting account identifier and its status (whether it is approved to accept payments and receive payouts).
Phone number (optional)	If you use HelpDol over WhatsApp/SMS, we store the number to link messages to your account.
Audit logs	A record of actions performed (including via ChatGPT) for security and history.

3. How we use your data (purposes)

Show your history, balances, summaries, and financial projections.
Perform the actions you request (add income/expense, generate a receipt, generate a report, schedule a payment).
Automatically import and reconcile transactions from the bank you connected.
Generate answers and insights from the AI assistant (in the app and in ChatGPT).
Let you get paid: if you enable card payments, we create the charge with Stripe on your behalf and automatically record it as income, so you do not have to type it in.
Manage your subscription and unlock plan features.
Ensure security, prevent fraud, and keep an audit trail.

We do not use your financial data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

4. ChatGPT integration — inputs and outputs

When you connect your HelpDol account to ChatGPT (authorization via OAuth 2.1, which you can revoke at any time), ChatGPT can call HelpDol's tools on your behalf. Below is what each type of tool receives and returns:

HelpDol receives from ChatGPT only the commands needed to perform the action. The content of your ChatGPT conversations is handled by OpenAI under its own privacy policy. Every action taken via ChatGPT is recorded in your audit log.

5. Who we share with (recipients)

We share data only with service providers needed to operate HelpDol, each handling only the data indicated:

Supabase	Database and authentication (storage of your data, servers in the United States).
OpenAI	Processing of the AI assistant and the ChatGPT integration.
Stripe	Our payment provider. Stripe (a) connects to your bank and sends us your transaction history, handling your banking credentials, and (b) if you enable card payments, processes those payments, verifies your identity as required by financial regulation, and pays the money out to your own bank account. Money goes from your customer to your own Stripe account — HelpDol never holds your money. Stripe acts as an independent controller for identity verification; see stripe.com/privacy.
RevenueCat	Subscription and plan management.
Twilio	Sending/receiving messages when you use HelpDol over WhatsApp/SMS.
OCR and voice providers	Reading receipts and transcribing voice commands.

We may also disclose data if required by law or a court order.

6. Retention — how long we keep your data

Your financial records and account data are kept while your account is active.
When you delete your account, your personal and financial data are erased from our systems, except what we must retain by law (e.g., tax/accounting records).
Audit logs are kept for up to 12 months for security, then removed.
When you disconnect your bank, importing of new transactions stops immediately. Transactions already imported remain in your history until you delete them or delete your account.
Card payment records are kept while your account exists, as part of your financial history and because they may be needed for tax purposes. Stripe keeps its own records of payments and identity verification for the period required by financial regulation, independently of HelpDol.
Access tokens (including ChatGPT's) expire automatically and are only refreshed while the authorization is active.

7. Security

All data travels over HTTPS and is protected by authentication. Each user can only access their own data (per-account isolation). We do not receive or store bank passwords. Access tokens expire on their own.

8. Your rights and controls

Export your data (CSV) from the app's Settings.
Delete your account and your data from the app's Settings.
Revoke ChatGPT's access at any time (in the authorization/connector).
Disconnect your bank at any time on the bank connection screen.
Stop accepting card payments at any time, and manage your payout account directly with Stripe.
Request access, correction, or deletion by writing to helpdolsuport@gmail.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as HelpDol evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the current version. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
